It is getting really bad. This year alone 207,000 people have lost there job last year 2.6 million people lost there job. What can President Obama do to fix this issue. I think we are going to end up going into a depression. What do you think?

Obama is going to get steamrolled by the Economy Monster just like George W. Bush did. Not to be negative but I just have that gut feeling.

Best thing he can do is let it happen.
It’ll be severe but it will be much shorter than if we have stimulus and bailouts causing a wildly fluctuating economy to fluctuate even more wildly.
The plan seems to be to hire some people to work on these so-called shovel ready state projects. It is not a real solution. No, the U.S. is not headed into depression with 7.2 percent unemployment rate vs. the 1929 to 1941 rate of unemployment of 20 to 25 percent. Just look at the number municipal, state and federal employees who will never be laid off. Not ever.

May God help him. God knows, Bush has created a mess. I still have my job but I do feel for all those that do not. We are in a crisis, stores are closing up. This is terrible.
Hopefully when he is done with all his agenda’s for the muslim countries,closing gitmo and sending tax dollars to cover foreign abortions.He may find a few minutes to address the job problem. You have to take care of the priorities first.
The best thing he can do is to stop so much government spending and allow the recession to take its course. It was caused by too much spending and we cannot simply spend our way out of it. Does a debtor increase debt to get out of debt ?
He’ll start a war somewhere and create loads of army jobs probably.
I heard that he is trying to create more jobs in the transport sector or something for the jobless.I think that he can be reliable unlike the former president Bush.Hasn’t he already made plans to shut down the guantanamo bay?
The truth is it is out of his hands , his job is just to make us feel good about our plight.
try buying american , tax the hell out of imports. then jobs will return.
