What do you think about President Obama holding a town hall meeting in a Red state?

by admin on April 24, 2009

President Obama is talking to regular people about the real problems that this country is currently facing. I think this is absolutely the right direction for this country.

I think he might make it out alive.

This youtube, idol president is being controlled by Nasty Pelosi on her broom and her band of flying monkeys.

Its just great too, that the Communist party USA has now praised his almighty rear.

He’s a fighter. He’s getting in the trenches with America’s enemies.

Calling a state red or blue is counter productive. As we are in this together.

I am with you on this one. I like the fact that the audience is not stacked with only fans. He is not afraid to talk to everyone.

I thought FL went blue this year.

Kim in Florida May 3, 2009 at 7:09 am

I think he wants to turn them all blue. He’s a salesman.

(the person above me is correct, Florida went blue this year…by a whole 2%….at least my county stayed red though, yey)

These town hall meetings are for show only. Dont get me wrong. I’m not applying this to Obamas town hall meeting only. Everytime a politican engages himself in a town hall meeting, its only for show. Regardless of what they hear at these town hall meetings, they go back to Washington and do as they have always wanted to.

Some of these town hall meetings are fixed. In his last term as governor of Arkansas, Clinton ran on a promise of that he would serve out his full term and not interrupt it with a run for the Presidency. THEN he held town hall meetings on whether or not he should run for the Presidency which would require him to break his promise. He packed these town hall meeting with his friends, and political allies, all of whom said the predictable: Yes, run for the presidency, we wont hold you to your promise. and then Clinton pretended that this was the voice of the people, of the average voters of Arkansas.

That is all he knows how to do is campaign.

Western European Mutt - WEM May 7, 2009 at 11:25 am

Obama is an empty suit with hollow promises.

Harley, why did Obama go to an RV factory to give his speech? Doesn’t he know only evil rich people can afford a half million dollar RV these days? BTW, with all these jobs he’ll create (sarcasm) when will the trickle UP effect really pay off for those workers in Indiana?

Obama really should have taken an econ 101 class in college instead of snorting coke.

People that have been hand picked, and god forbid he gets asked a tough question, the asker gets booed rudely.

At this point anyone who doesn’t understand that everything Obama does is for show, he is a human sound bite.

EDIT: seriously, if you don’t think those people are hand picked, I have some swamp land I know you will love.

ROBOT ROLL CALL May 10, 2009 at 3:45 am

Both Indiana and Florida went for Obama. He’s out there preaching to the choir. He’s so brave!!!!

Son of Liberty May 10, 2009 at 10:15 pm

I think the first job that needs to be created is a president. Then we need to find someone to go to Washington and do it. Apparently Berserk Insane 0bama thinks he’s still applying for the job.

I’m still looking for the promised change.

non exsisto ovis May 14, 2009 at 7:12 am

He’s hoping to con a few more people to ensure his second term.

It’s really sad that we have all these pressing problems and Obama is already campaigning for his second term.

namsaev May 17, 2009 at 2:14 am

But it doesn’t appear he’s doing much listening. The latest Rasmussen pool says on 37% of the people think it’s the right thing to do. There are more people than that who think a tax cut only is a better idea, 47%.

About the same as him appointing a Republican Senator to a cabinet post in a state where a Democrat Governor can appoint a Replacement Democrat for him in the Senate. Giving the Democrats the magic #60 for a fillibuster proof majority. Thereby making the Obama Dictatorship complete. In other countries this is called a bloodless coup.

Bill G May 22, 2009 at 8:13 pm

His loony ideas are what killed the RV industry to make Elkhart,IN, the RV capital of the the world into the unemployment capital of America

That’s what you can expect across the rest of the country

jack f May 24, 2009 at 5:33 pm

Why not? He knows all his loyal zombie like followers are under his thumb already. He is going after support from the otherside, because he has nothing to lose. And the sad thing about it is he will get some of them. You said you think he is the right direction for this country? Why do you think that? I think he is wrong. Why? I think he is a hard core leftist, with a leftist agenda. I think there are currently no checks and balances to control him, so he can do whatever he wants. I think that is very dangerous. Even if a conservative was in office, if he or she had no checks and balances to control him or her, that would be dangerous. Right now he can be more than President, he can be a dictator, and there’s nothing you or I can do about it.

dudiedood May 25, 2009 at 5:07 pm

Well, he’d better get out there and make some friends because regardless of the relatively few people he reaches via these town hall meetings, the majority of people are still against this stimulus package.

He’s a poser, and he’s telling me that he knows better than me, and in the end what I think won’t mount to a hill of beans because he’s going to do what he wants to do, and I don’t like that.

ART May 29, 2009 at 2:57 am

Florida is a blue state.
The only person to ask a serious question about what the money in the stimulus plan was going for was booed.
This was a show.
And you bought it.

Obama is a gentleman and a great speaker. He is still being tested and will be for some time. He has more hope for American than Americans do so he still believes there is hope to turn things around. I wish I had this same optimism but the fact is we are too broken hearted and defeated by the greed that has plagued our country that we are scared to return to the old ways of the past two decades of corruption in corporations and government.

We don’t need communism but we do need to repress or make accountable those scared capitalist that hide their flag in the Republican party.

Jesus said love your enemy. Obama is a Christian he knows that when you have an enemy you love them they might just turn into a friend…Oh, wait, Bush was a Christian, I guess he read something about Jesus said go to war kill people. I have never seen that side of Jesus.

He is going to some of the hardest hit places . And it is not surprising that the Places are or were Red States .
