TO KEEP OPRAH QUIET
1 he has to fix the damages bush left #2 he has to bring the troops back home has soon has possible #3 he has to capture all the terrorists put them behind bars than #4 he has to make more jobs for people #5 and he has to do something about the health care plans to so you see he has lots of things to deal with right.
Obstinate Republicans. There isn’t enough of a liberal majority to quash a filibuster, which is all the Republicans can do to slow things down.
The downside to using a filibuster is that it could come back to haunt them in 2 years. If its viewed that the Republicans in congress were blocking bills for say, economic stimulus, then that could cost them their seats the next time they’re up for reelection.
The other challenges were the ones that Bush left for him to deal with like a flaming bag of poo on the front porch. Clinton left a record budget surplus for Bush, who then turned it into a record deficit (funny how the last 3 fiscal conservatives have left huge deficits, Bush, Bush Sr, Reagan…). Getting the US out of Iraq, before any more US soldiers have to sacrifice their lives for a war based on lies, and turning the tide in Afghanistan before it becomes the Epic Failure that Iraq is. Restoring our image to the rest of the world by closing Guantanimo, ending extrajudicial rendition and torture.
Work for the 47 48 million americans that didn’t vote for him.Ya like that’s gonna happen……………..
The health care he promised will be interesting – with the
economy and all the bailouts I think we can forget that one.
It will be interesting to see how he will side step all the
promises with policy – I do wish him luck , I just don’t think
he will be able to pull it off
