We follow the orders of the commander and chief and defend the constitution of the United States, make of that what you wish.
Well, the other way ain’t working, and history as shown that other countries have met their demise in Afghanistan. Just look at the British Empire and the Soviet Union.
But it may have been much easier to do if the US wasn’t fighting a two-front war.
Very sad! I don’t believe that we should give them sanction, because they gave sanction to Al-Qaeda! And they give no warrant to their citizens of Afghanistan. Obviously, everyone knows that we cannot win a war against terrorism, but we can at least keep them at bay. I agree with Lavvy, I don’t think we should be making any deals with terrorists, whatsoever, they still need to be hanged!
I don’t love the idea that we occupy foreign countries, but we are still learning….this unconventional warfare concept is needed room to grow…Terrorism is very ghastly and can happen anywhere at anytime. Someday the US, will develop a better doctrine in fighting a war against Terrorism and send those Islamic extremists to the fiery pits of hell!
I am Muslim and I have a huge disgust towards those so-called Jihadists that target innocent people, who cower behind women and children. They someday are having to answer to Allah for the sins they committed.
It should have been something that Bush tried but didn’t. I don’t believe in making deal with terrorist but at least there is talk. More talk less time for war and 10 years of talks is worth one day of peace with no war.

I feel that if our President wishes to talk to barbarians in an attempt to bring about peace then so be it. He’s probably right in that we won’t be able to win with a democratically controlled house as well as 1600 Penn Avenue being in Democratic control. Like the first poster stated, we follow the orders of the man, or woman at that residence regardless of our personal feelings.
