What Kind Of Sacrifices Should Americans Be Prepared For Under President Obama?

by admin on March 1, 2010

President-elect Obama has called on all Americans to support a spirit of sacrifice. What does this mean? What kind of sacrifices does our new leader expect from us?
Cosmicso,
The policies Obama has advocated are the policies of marxism which is based on Darwin and on the Hegelian Dialectic not on any provable theories. Comments anyone?

Simple.. No military, no government jobs, say good bye to the health care you pay for. Kiss your retirement and salary good bye. Your choice of religon will be taken away as well. Also the right to bare arms.. So basically welcome to a dictatorship where basically our fore fathers will be rolling over in their graves due the main thing they fought for has been taken away.. Our FREEDOM is no more! We are screwed!

Not having laughing stock for president. Being respected by the rest of the world again.

^^Yeah…right. When he was talking about a spirit of sacrifice he was talking about doing whatever it takes to come together and change America for the good. He WILL NOT take away our civil liberties and he IS NOT the devil. People who say these things like the guy above me are ignorant and can’t get over the fact that McCain lost..geez

I don’t really know if he really said that or what he would have meant by it, but I do know that our country is filled with a bunch of rich, spoiled brats who make us look bad to the rest of the world. We only care about the rest of the world if it directly affects our wallets. Obama wants college kids to get involved in things like Americorps to do community service. The only thing I can imagine is that he would like us to reach out more to other people to help them instead of just focusing on ourselves all the time. I think we all could agree that this is a good thing. People need to quit worrying…he’s not going to be as radical as some people seem to think.

We have already made tremendous sacrifices, what with the $1.5 trillion (aggregate) bail out of Wall Street with our hard-earned, tax dollars; our sons and daughters fighting wars in far away countries that have little or nothing to do with our personal or national security and more to do with making the Haliburtons of the world even more wealthy; putting up with a sub-standard healthcare system (if you can call it that). All of this under eight years of former-President Bush.

With that said, the only sacrifices we can and should make now is to make sure that we help our President-elect, Barack Obama, push through the policies that he heralded during his campaign. The only way we can do this is to stay informed and alert and make sure that we contact our Congress people whenever a bill is introduced that is directly related to his campaign promises.

I am encouraged by our President-elect, Barack Obama, because his voting record as a former-senator is promising and speaks to his genuine desire to see people lifted up and operating within their fullest potential!

Finally, a president’s promise is only as good as the Congress’ desire to see it come to fruition, so we need to make sure that we are in constant contact with our Congress people or at least with grassroots organizations and interest groups that can rally Congress on our behalf.

He meant being involved in your country again and sacrificing your time to care. You know like some people sacrificed hours of their time just to vote.

are you freaking kidding me? what voting record?! he voted ‘present over 100 times since being in the senate! is that the kind of person you want leading this country? if he can’t even make decisions in the senate how is he supposed to make right decisions for america!

people in this country are so ignorant. you all think racism is over in this country but it’s not. now its just a different side of the same coin. obama only won because he’s black. and he’s only half black. did any of you ever once hear him referred to as a white man? noope. he played the race card, you all just don’t want to admit it.

and one last thing. do you think that the fbi, cia, or nsa would even consider hiring barack obama considering his past associations? hell noo! so why would you let him run our country.

I don’t think we should be sacrificing anything for him, or any other politicians. I have been against sacrificing our freedoms for the supposed security that the neocon Republicans were offering. I remain opposed to sacrificing to the Liberal Democrats.

I see our politicians as nothing more than elected public servants. Who the hell are they to tell us we need to sacrifice? They work for us, not the other way around. Stop thinking of politicians as your leaders, they are your servants. It is THEY who need to learn the meaning of sacrifice.

Sassy you said:

We know he’s only have black but most white americans see him as a black man so he didn’t play the race card. Society did. Race is solely based on physical attributes there are only 3 races: mongoloid, negroid and caucasoid. And you would put him under negroid because of the color of his skin. so I don’t want to hear anything about him not being referred to as being half-black. Race has nothing to do with him winning. African-Americans and Hispanics are minorities so there is no way he would’ve won with just their votes. people want to see change and thats what they see in Obama. About 90% of everything McCain stands for is similar to Bush’s why would we want 3 terms of the same thing.
